Chairman's message

Ng Yuk Tung

It is my great honor to be elected as the Chairman of Housing Managers Registration Board.

The Registration Board is a statutory body established under the Housing Managers Registration Ordinance (Cap. 550) of Hong Kong. Its mission is to set and review the qualification standards for Registered Professional Housing Managers, oversee registration matters, and disseminate information on these standards and procedures. Over the past 24 years, the Board has provided a well-established platform for the registration of professional housing managers while also enforcing disciplinary standards in accordance with the Ordinance.

Housing management is a cornerstone of a livable city, encompassing a wide range of professional responsibilities, from property maintenance and financial management to customer service and community engagement. Thanks to the dedication of past chairpersons and their teams, significant progress has been made in licensing systems, resource efficiency, and smart management solutions. With the formal implementation of the licensing regime for housing management practitioners, we will further integrate technology and human-centric services to enhance operational efficiency and elevate professional standards across the industry.

The demand for professional housing management services continues to grow. The Registration Board not only maintains a rigorous registration system but also serves as a co-creator of harmonious communities. Building upon the solid foundation laid by our predecessors over the past two decades, I firmly believe that only through teamwork, unwavering professionalism, and a commitment to ethical practice can we achieve excellence in this field.

During my term, I will work humbly and diligently with all Board members to advance the continuous development of Hong Kong’s housing management profession and write a new chapter for our industry.
